On 3/30/31, it was announced that Chancellor Christ has approved a new Campus Master Plan that establishes a renewed long-term vision for the physical development of the Berkeley campus. It has been more than 17 years since the campus approved such a plan.

Today, in a campus wide message, Chancellor Christ outlined a new unprecedented partnership between our university, the City of Berkeley and local nonprofit organizations, a collaborative effort that will enable us to offer housing and a new daytime drop-in center to the unhoused members of the community who are currently living in and gathering at People's Park.
