Communications & Media Relations for the Administration Division is led by Kyle Gibson, Director of Strategic Communications, in the Office of the Vice Chancellor. This work supports the entire division and helps articulate the mission, priorities, and achievements of the units that keep Berkeley running. Communications professionals embedded in our departments help ensure alignment, clarity, and consistency in messaging, while also tailoring communications to meet the needs of each unit’s specific audience.
The Director of Strategic Communications partners closely with campus units—including the Office of Public Affairs and the Office of Government and Community Relations—to share the stories of the Administration Division with the campus community and beyond. The team also maintains the Vice Chancellor's website, prepares the annual report, provides communications support for strategic priorities, and represents the division to internal and external stakeholders.
