CIO Search Update 09/06/12:
The search is on schedule. The committee will begin interviewing candidates this month and expects to have a full-term CIO on board by the end of the calendar year.
On March 15, 2012, UC Berkeley Associate Vice Chancellor for Information Technology & Chief Information Officer Shel Waggener announced his departure from Berkeley to join Internet2 as Senior Vice President, where he will provide executive leadership for Internet2 NET+ Services.
UC Berkeley has named a search committee to help in the national search for a new CIO. The members are:

The search committee will be involved in recruiting, screening, and conducting interviews with candidates for the position. A decision is expected by late Fall 2012. An official announcement will be made by November/December 2012.The search will be assisted by the executive search consulting firm Spencer Stuart.
