Associate Dean and Professor Phil Stark has been appointed Interim Regional Associate Dean of the the ChaMPS Service Region. Professor Stark is Associate Dean of the Division of Mathematical and Physical Sciences and a Professor of Statistics, a department in which he has served since 1988. Stark succeeds Professor Ron Cohen, who stepped down as Regional Associate Dean of the ChaMPS Region after advocating for, designing, and championing the conversion from Campus Shared Services to Berkeley Regional Services. As Regional Associate Dean, Stark will work with Dean of Chemistry Doug Clark, Dean of MPS Frances Hellman, and Regional Director Samantha Yee to oversee the provision of administrative support services including human resources, academic personnel, research administration, and purchasing to the faculty, staff, and student employees of the ChaMPS region.
