Julia Arno has been named the Regional Director of the Professional Schools regions. Julia brings more than 12 years of management experience in supporting research and sponsored programs including seven years as Director and Interim Executive Director of the Contracts and Grants at the Research Grant Program Office at UC Office of the President. Prior to joining UCOP, Julia served as Director of research and sponsored program offices at both Sonoma State University and Domincan University of California in San Rafael.
In her new role, Julia will direct the administrative support of the Professional Schools region and its nine schools and colleges including:
- Berkeley Law
- Haas School of Business
- Goldman School of Public Policy
- School of Education
- School of Journalism
- School of Optometry
- School of Public Health
- School of Social Welfare
- UC Berkeley Extension
Julia is a graduate of UC Davis, has her JD from Golden Gate University School of Law, and an Master's of Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco.
