Achieve Together, UC Berkeley's brand new performance management program, is coming soon. The annual review for non-represented staff will go away after this current shortened cycle ending March 31, 2020, and be replaced with Achieve Together. This new program is focused on the professional development of employees and managers through a series of regular check-in conversations and performance-driven goals, eliminating the annual review.
In order to get ready for Achieve Together, Human Resources requests that you review your current goals and update them to reflect this shortened nine-month cycle. Meet with your manager and discuss any changes you may have, ensuring you’re both in sync on goals and expectations that are aligned with your departmental and campus strategies. With only nine months instead of the usual twelve, it’s important you both know what goals are possible and realistic.
More information will be coming soon regarding Achieve Together, but in the meantime, there is a website you can visit to help prepare for next year’s program, including what to expect, how it will affect any merit pay (hint: you’ll get it a lot faster!) and how often you’ll have check-in conversations with your manager. Stay tuned - there’s a lot more to come!
